A modern farmhouse-style home. Driven by our client’s wish to keep the scale of the building and spaces intimate and warm, yet contemporary, we designed a cozy 4 Bedroom and 4 Bath Modern Farmhouse-Style Home, with abundant light, views, and luxury space. Through the foyer, you are welcomed into an elegant parlor with its own bay window and a fireplace. The heart of the home is its Great Room with vaulted ceilings and skylights. The Great Room is also the axis of the house, opening up into the backyard and blending the exterior and interior through a folding glass wall system. It’s 2700 sq ft on the ground, which will see the family grow.
Program Reconciliation & Design Approach
The Remodel Magnolia Sunnyvale, California began by mapping family routines and reorganizing the plan to remove friction points. We introduced a clear circulation spine, expanded kitchen adjacency, and created flexible zones for work and play. Unlike purely cosmetic renovations, Magnolia’s redesign targeted functional improvements first, ensuring that form follows use in every intervention.

Magnolia’s renovation included selective structural interventions, new finishes, and enhanced lighting design.
